GOL (G3) the Brazilian company joins BSP in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Greenland
GOL, Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A. is the largest low-cost airline in Latin America, under the GOL and VARIG brands, with more than 910 daily flights to 69 destinations. With five strong brands - GOL, Varig, Smiles, and Gollog - the Company has reached a domestic market share of 35% in 3Q14, with 9.9 million passengers. In order to build this tradition of achievement and growth, the Company relies on approximately 16,354 employees and a young, modern and standardized fleet of 137 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft, the safest and most comfortable in their class. With high aircraft utilization rates and exemplary efficiency, GOL currently offers more than 910 daily flights to 69 destinations, connecting the most important cities in Brazil and the 15 primary international markets in South America, Caribbean and the United States, and interline agreements with 78 airlines.
In addition to strong, profitable growth and expanding markets for air travel, another characteristic of GOL’s history has been the use of high technology. The Company revolutionized the Brazilian civil aviation sector by concentrating its sales on the Internet and by introducing intelligent web-based check-in, as well as being the first Brazilian company to make the entire check-in procedure possible via mobile phone.
The Company remains focused on developing and enhancing its products and services through investments in operations, systems and processes, as well as the launch of products such as GOL+ on all domestic Brazilian routes, offering increased comfort and a better flying experience. As a result, GOL has the largest number of A-seal seats (an ANAC classification standard).
GOL has a very small percentage of delayed flights, at only 6%, thanks to the continuous improvements made in the check-in process. GOLs new website also enables passengers an easier and faster ticket purchasing process.
